Dean's Award for Postgraduate Research
The Faculty of Engineering is pleased to announce the inaugural Deans Award for Postgraduate Research. This award was established to recognise outstanding research in engineering and applied sciences. Prizes will be awarded for Best Poster Overall and for Runner Up in each of the 5 Faculty Research themes.
Postgraduate research students in session 3 or higher of their enrolment (full time equivalent) in any Faculty of Engineering research program are eligible to apply for the award. Candidates should complete the application form and submit it with their abstract [~300 word research description]. Application details and entry forms are posted on the Engineering website http://www.eng.unsw.edu.au/current/awards/pgr2005.htm.
Note that the Faculty will check on candidates eligibility and will remove those applications NOT eligible. If a school only has a small number of applicants, schools will simply be informed that all entries are accepted. For schools with large numbers of applicants, the Head of School/PG Coordinator will be asked to organise ranking of the applications and return rankings to the Faculty.
Applications close on September 30th and winners will be selected at an Awards event on November 10th.
