UNSW EE&T Receives Top Rating for Research [12-02-2011]
A/Prof. John Fletcher has successfully securing UNSW-ADFA Research Funding ($38,400)for his project "Supersonic ignition enhancement using pulsed nanosecond discharges" [04-01-2011]
Dr. Toan Phung and Dr. Mohammad Salay Naderi have succesful in securing UNSW-MREII Funding (S92,891) for their project entitled "Equipment for High Voltage Laboratory - digital oscilloscope, weep frequency response analyser, spectrum analyser" [04-01-2011]
Dr. Julien Epps has successfully secured UNSW-MREII Funding ($60,222) for his project entiltled "Construction and installation of a Forensic Voice Comparison Laboratory". [04-01-2011]
Dr. Rukmi Dutta has been successful in securing the 2011 UNSW Learning and Teaching Grant Seed funding ($2000) for her project entitled "Visulisation of the Electrical Power Engineering Concepts through anumated 2D/3D videos and drawings". [04-01-2011]
Dr. Iain Skinner, in collaboration with Paul Hagan (Mining Engineering) and Pam Mort (Learning & Teaching centre) has been recognised with the AAEE-2010 award for the learning and teaching innovation "WRise: Write reports in Science and Engineering". [04-01-2011]
Dr. Elias Aboutanios received Best Paper Award at the international Congress on Image and Signal Processing for his paper "Instantaneous Frequency based Spectral Analysis of Nuclear Magnetic Spectroscopy Data" with other contributing authors Yanni Kopsinis and Denis Rubstov. [04-01-2011]
2011 ARC Discovery and Linkage Grant Success [26-10-2010]
Phil Allen received 2010 Technical Staff Excellence Award from the Faculty. The UNSW Faculty of Engineering Staff Excellence Awards were established in 2004 to reward and encourage exceptional and outstanding service or work performance by professional, technical, research and teaching staff. The award recognised
Phil’s commitment and capability whihc resulted in him initiating, implementing and supporting the result of major new equipment funding, The Wireless Network Modelling and Implementation Project.  Phil has also been pivotal in also shaping the School's marketing activities to high school students for the last few years.
